About me
Thanks for reading about me; I appreciate your being here. I feel like I have been on a profound journey 'leaning in' my entire life; I think I lean in because it feels more stable to me than trying to steer through life on my heels. My motto of One Love and No Regrets, I believe guides me well. As an educator and endurance athlete (for 30 years), I consider myself a worthy witness for myself, teammates, students, colleagues, friends, and family. I grew up in Vermont always exploring and playing in nature; By the time I was in high school, I had put on as much armor as possible to be as invisible as possible. I spent three summers repeating failed classes and barely graduated. My feelings while in high school were the catalyst to my eventually going to college to become a teacher. Currently, I am finishing my CMC-sponsored doctorate in higher education leadership. I have two master's degrees in Teaching Secondary English and Depth Psychology. I have spent years practicing the role of Dream Tender and I even co-sponsor a Dream Tending club on the Steamboat Campus. Using stories and narratives, I teach critical inquiry of not only the content, but also of the self.
